Call of Duty: Black Op's

Well let's be truthful, its been awhile since I have posted here. Lots going on with myself in life. Anyways, I am going to take a couple of minutes to do a little review of the new Call of Duty: Black Op's.

I will have to say myself that I thought that the new Medal of Honor that was released about a month ago would steal some of the thunder of a FPS release from CoD. As it turns out, MoH turned out to be mostly a flop and many people have come to tell me that Black Ops is an amazing game.
I have yet to play it myself, I a most likely will not purchase it but, testing it out would be worth the time I think. After talking with a few gaming buddies I have come to hear that the single player version of B.O. has an intriguing storyline that is very enjoyable. Then there is also the online part of it, which makes the rest of the game for most people. I was told comparatively to MoH it has good looking graphics and gameplay, like I said I have yet to experience it for myself but I trust what I have been told.
I am sure it has its downside somewhere, and it will arise probably within a couple of weeks, and if its something fixable there will be a patch or so. Anyways feel free to leave comments on what you think of Black Ops, so others can read and share as well.

Star Wars: The Old Republic, A Revisit

So my first ever blog was on SW:ToR and I feel like I did not do it near the justice that is deserves. For anyone who does not know this is a MMORPG that has been in development by Bioware for some time now. This is a largely anticipated game by the gaming community. Many things have been promised by Bioware and its developers.
This game is showing many aspects that a Star Wars game should have, especially a MMO. Many worlds is one of them, and the following planets will be available in ToR: Tython, Korriban, Hutta, Ord Mantell, Coruscant, Balmorra, Alderaan, Tatooine, Dromund Kaas, Taris, Belsavis, Voss, Hoth, Nar Shaaddaa, and last, but surely not least Corellia! The amount of world space is just unbelievable. This shows how much is going to be in this game, especially since all the dialogue is fully voiced! It is unknown at this time if more planets are planned to be released but keeping up with the Friday updates on their website is a good idea if you are interested.
On top of the enormous amount of space player will have on the ground, they will also be able to fly in space, own their own ship, and fight with their ship. Many pilots from the failed game of Star Wars Galaxies are excited to hear about this feature in ToR. Well done Bioware!
A little background story on the game is that it is during a time of great peril between the Jedi and the Sith. They are prevalent throughout the galaxy. So, of course four of the eight playable classes involve "The Force" and a lightsaber. The most recent class update involved the Jedi's and designing the Light Side. This made me sure that I want to play a Jedi Consular. More can be found on this here:

Real Heroes: Firefighter, Firefighting Game For Nintento Wii

Conspiracy Entertainment and Epicenter released this game August 2009, and it never was a large hit as a top game but it is for some. Many of the fire fighters I know that play video games actually took a interest in this game and have bought it. The game features you starting in a fire house as a probationary firefighter, and you work your way through many different levels putting out fires and making rescues.
I think this is a great game and have played it myself. I loved it, but then again I also love fire fighting. I think everyone should take the time to play it and they can see what fire does to a home and can see it from the view of the firefighter. One major thing I do see with the game is they left out all types of fire protection. Not on any level did I see a Fire Alarm/Fire Protection System initiated. I believe the coders of the game should have time to put in Fire Alarms on all the levels that are in residential homes, as for the commercial levels they should all be equipped with a building wide Fire Alarm System.
They should also both have Fire Sprinklers installed in them. Yes I said both, the residential and commercial occupancies should have Fire Sprinklers installed in them, why you may ask? Because they save lives and property. When a fire breaks out in a building the Smoke Detectors initiate and alarm to sound to warn and occupants, so they may get outs safely. With a sprinkler system installed it will be able to control the fire and keep it in one are until the Fire Department can arrive to fully extinguish the fire. A myth about Fire Sprinklers is that if one goes off, they all go off just like its showed in movies. There is a type of system that does work in that manner, its called a Deluge system, but it is rarely used!!! The most used systems are wet type systems in which the pipes are always pressurized and the sprinkler heads have glass bulbs or metal springs that heat up, from the fire, and allow water to flow onto the fire. Another thing many people do not know is that having fire sprinklers installed in your home can help you save on your home owners insurance. They are required in most commercial occupancies, for good reason, so you do not have an insurance break there.

Counter-Strike: Source

Counter-Strike: Source, also known as CS:S has been around for awhile now, and has had changes along the way. Some of which may have been for the better others maybe not. This has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to FPS, but I think it may be dying out.
Even with the anti hacking program people still get away with hacking while playing and using cheats/programs that allow them to do many things. Seeing through walls is one of them, as well as speed hacking, aimbot, and some programs even play mp3's while you do all of these things.
I have also recently heard that Valve's anit-hacking program wrongfully banned over 30,000 or so accounts. I think we may see a decline of CS:S in the coming future.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

So I have been following this since it was leaked out that it may be under development. I am hoping that is is the MMO that will bring all MMO's to justice and show them how it should be done. All the Star Wars Fans and Gamer Fans alike will be ready to play this.
